Q:  What is the purpose of your ministry?

The Rural Life Ministry is a Diocesan ministry as opposed to a single parish.  The Bishop has many Catholic Charities and this ministry is one of those.  There is a committee of 10 members from all parishes.  Our job is to inform the Catholic Charities/Bishop of what's going on in the rural community.  We inform the Bishop of any issues affecting farmers and what's happening on the farms in the Toledo Diocese.

Q:  How frequently do you meet?
We meet 2-3 times during the year.  We organize one Century Farm Mass during the year which is hosted at a different parish each time.  There are also rogation days in the springtime.
